Frequently asked questions
Got any questions around Notion Updates? We're here to help.
How to update Notion?
Notion Updates roll out automatically to your workspace, which means you usually don’t need to do anything.
However, in some rare cases, your Notion Workspace can get temporarily “stuck”. Check the “Troubleshooting Notion Updates?” question for step-by-step instructions.
Why can't I see the latest Notion Updates in my workspace?
Typically, Notion Updates roll out to all users over the span of a day.
That means, other Notion Users might already have a new feature and post about it on Social Media before you can see it in your workspace.
In these cases, all you can do is wait until it’s time for your workspace to receive the update (which should usually not take longer than 24 hours).
Notion usually only publishes their update announcement after rolling out the update to everyone – and we also only add an update here after that.
If an update has been officially announced and you still don’t see it, check the “Troubleshooting Notion Updates” question for step-by-step instructions.
Troubleshooting Notion Updates
If you can’t see a Notion Update even after the official announcement, here’s what you should do to fix the situation:
1. Check your internet connection
Notion can only update if you have a stable internet connection. If you see a little “Offline” notice at the top of your Notion window, it means something is wrong with your internet connection.
2. Refresh Notion
Most issues with Notion can be resolved by simply refreshing the app.
If you use the Notion Desktop app, press cmd + R (on mac) or ctrl + R (on windows) to refresh it.
If you use Notion in your browser, check your browser shortcuts for refreshing or simply reload the page (most browsers also use cmd + R or ctrl + R)
3. Reset Notion
Resetting Notion involves deleting all local data and clearing the cache, which means you will be logged out of all accounts. Make sure you have your login data ready before doing this!
Reset instructions might change occasionally, so make sure to check Notion’s official reset documentation.
4. Contact Notion Support
If all else fails, you have to open a ticket and reach out to Notion Support. You can do so by scrolling to the very bottom of your left Notion Sidebar.
There, you’ll find an option called “Help & support”
I have a Notion Update in my workspace that's missing here. Why?
You might see a Notion Update that’s missing here for one of three reasons:
1. Notion Update Rollout in Progress
Notion Updates roll out in steps to every user and it can take up to 24 hours for every workspace to receive the update.
Notion usually only officially announces an update once the rollout has been completed – and we also only add features here that should have rolled out to everyone.
So if you see a feature already, you might be one of the lucky early users who got the update!
2. Notion is A/B Testing Features
Notion is constantly testing the product UI and sometimes that includes A/B testing changes without an official update.
If you don’t see anyone talking about this most recent change in the software, you probably got a special version.
After a while, Notion will either make this the new official UI for everyone or revert your version back to the standard one
3. Notion accidentally leaked a feature
From time to time, Notion accidentally pushes a feature (or a hint of a feature) to production that’s not supposed to be live yet.
These usually disappear quickly, so you won’t be able to see it for too long in your workspace
Do I need to manually update my Notion app for the latest features?
No, Notion will update automatically regardless of whether you use the Notion Desktop App or the Browser Version.
If you should see an update and need to troubleshoot, check the “Troubleshooting Notion Updates” section above.
Can I roll back to a previous version of Notion if I don't like an update?
Unfortunately no. Notion doesn’t support different versions which means you can always only use the lastest update.
However, the team is super responsive so if you don’t like a change, share your constructive feedback with the team via a support ticket or on Social Media.

Notion database just got a refresh with many UI improvements!
You’ll notice some handy updates: settings for databases are now accessed via a dedicated icon instead of the three dots, and the menu has been reorganised for less scrolling. Creating new database properties is also more intuitive with a new “select type” option that lets you name the property directly. You can minimise and expand database settings, and the database header line was abandoned. Rightly so! Plus, you can now right-click on existing properties to quickly insert new ones to their left or right.
To put it in a nutshell, there is less distraction now. Also for the mobile view.
You can now send custom Slack messages from Notion automations.
Just set up an automation and choose the Slack notification action. You can write your own message, mention people, use variables like @now, and add emojis. This works with database automations and button blocks, so you can provide your team with the necessary context!
You can now choose to hide the blue banner at the top of your published Notion pages.
To use this, go to your site settings and disable the “Always show published banner on sites” option.
You can now view and change the status of any Notion database item directly in Notion Calendar.
No need to switch apps. Just click the task, pick the new status, and you’re done.
Notion is now officially available in the Microsoft Store.
This means you can download and install Notion directly from the Microsoft Store on your Windows device.
You can also sign in to Notion using your Outlook account. Plus, you can connect Notion to other Microsoft services like OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams. This makes it easier to access your files, share documents, and work with your team.
Notion AI now lets you use Claude 4 for smarter answers, better coding, and improved memory inside your workspace.
Claude 4 in Notion AI is now much more reliable for important business tasks. It makes fewer mistakes and keeps track of details over time, making it safer for things like financial checks, legal work, or managing sensitive projects.

Notion’s File Upload API lets you automatically upload files right into your workspace.
You can upload files under 20MB in one go. For larger files, you split them into parts (5–20MB each), upload each part, and then complete the upload. You can also import files from external URLs.
To get started, create a file upload object using the API. Then upload your file (or each part, for large files) to the provided URL. Once uploaded, you can attach the file to database properties, the page body, page covers, icons, or supported block types. Files must be attached within 1 hour or they’ll be deleted, but you can reuse the same upload across multiple locations.
This removes the need for manual uploads. You can now automate adding files like PDFs, images, or videos anywhere in Notion!
In my YouTube video, I walk you through each step!
Notion Formulas just added a new
count()
method. This makes it much simpler to count items in a database compared to the old way, where you had to use
filter().length()
. The new method accepts the current context, so you can write shorter, clearer formulas. To use it, just call
count()
on your list. For example, instead of writing
deals.filter(current.Status == "lost").length()
, you can now writedeals.count(current.Status == "lost")
. This works for counting tasks, items, or anything else in your database, and helps keep your formulas clean and easy to manage. If you want to learn more use cases, check out my Notion Masterclass for formulas & automations

Notion just released a big update that changes how AI is priced and used in Notion.
Now, unlimited Notion AI access is included with Business and Enterprise plans.
That means your team gets powerful AI tools without extra add-ons. The update also expands AI across your workspace and connected apps, making Notion a central place for company knowledge, meeting notes, research, and AI chat.
You can search across more connected apps with Enterprise Search, automatically transcribe meeting notes, and quickly generate detailed docs with Research Mode. The AI Home tab brings all these features together, plus chat with top AI models like GPT-4.1 and Claude 3.7.

Notion Mail is a new email client that sits right inside the Notion ecosystem.
Now you can use familiar Notion features—like custom views, properties, and filters—to sort and manage emails however you like.
Notion Mail is a standalone app (like Notion Calendar) and currently works with Gmail only, though the Outlook integration is supposed to come soon.
With Notion AI (available on a paid plan), emails can be automatically labelled, and you can draft replies using information from your workspace. For example, if you’re hiring, you can set up a “Job Applications” view that sorts and tracks candidate emails with custom statuses like “Interview Scheduled” or “Offer Sent”.
Notion Mail is free to use, except for the AI features. If you want your email, calendar, and workspace all working together, it’s definitely worth a try.
You can now temporarily unlock locked pages in Notion, making quick edits without fully removing protection. After you finish and refresh or leave the page, the lock automatically returns. This is a small but helpful update, especially for anyone managing large workspaces where keeping content secure matters.
To use it, just unlock a page choosing “unlock for me”, make your changes, and Notion will re-lock it once your editing session ends. This saves you from accidentally leaving important pages open to edits and keeps your workspace safer with less hassle.
Notion has open-sourced its Model Context Protocol (MCP), now available on GitHub.
MCP is a standard way for AI models and tools to connect with Notion, making it much easier to build custom AI integrations. You can plug MCP into your favourite client—like Claude Desktop or Cursor AI—and start connecting Notion to your AI workflows in just a few minutes.
To get started, set up a Notion integration and connect it to the MCP server. You can run the server using npm or Docker, then add your integration token and link your Notion pages or databases. Once set up, your AI client can search, read, create, and update Notion content using natural language or API calls—all through a single, standardised interface.
This update means you can build richer, more flexible AI-powered tools with Notion, without having to manage complex, custom integrations. Everything you need is open-source and ready to use on GitHub.
Notion Calendar now has built-in scheduling, so you can book meetings without leaving the app.
Organise all your meeting links, set your availability, and handle both one-time and recurring meetings. You can also add phone numbers, locations, or custom links to your invites.
To use it, just click “Scheduling” in Notion Calendar. Set when you’re free, create a link, and share it—people can book time with you right there. Everything happens inside Notion Calendar, so no extra tools are needed.
Can this replace Calendly for you?
Notion’s tablet app now feels more like a desktop.
Updates include a collapsible sidebar, inbox as a drawer, favourite pages in the top bar, cleaner layouts with templates at the bottom, and full workspace settings.
Definitely not a revolutionary update, but a noticeable improvement for iPad users!
Notion has introduced webhooks for integrations—a highly requested developer feature!
This update allows Notion to send real-time notifications to connected tools when content changes. No more polling or workarounds!
Webhooks help Notion talk to other apps instantly. When something changes in Notion, other tools get notified right away. This makes it easy to keep data up-to-date across different tools, send automatic updates to teams, or publish content from Notion to a blog.
Apps like Zapier, Marker.io, Sync2Sheets, and 2sync are already using webhooks with Notion. This makes connecting Notion to other tools easy and efficient. Previously, webhook actions in Notion allowed users to trigger workflows in third-party apps using tools like Zapier or Make. This is now more seamless and responsive for external integrations.

Notion Forms finally have conditional logic!
This means you can show follow-up questions based on answers to Select or Multi-Select questions.
To use it, add a Select or Multi-Select question, click the three dots, and choose “Add conditional logic”. You can set conditions to show related questions based on exact matches. For example, if someone selects “Yes”, you can display more fields tied to that answer. This helps tailor forms to specific inputs.
For now, this feature is only available on Business and Enterprise plans. If you need more advanced features like hiding questions or custom branding, tools like Tally offer free alternatives that integrate well with Notion. Watch my video here:
Notion has launched a new Admin Console for enterprise customers.
This update improves workspace management by introducing centralised controls and better overview.
Admins can now assign an Organisation Owner role with higher permissions than workspace owners. The console provides a clear overview of members, guests, and security settings across all workspaces. Settings can be managed at the organisation, workspace, or teamspace level, making administration faster and more efficient.
Click “manage organization” in the sidebar to access the admin console and check out the best practices to manage your enterprise workspace.
You can now connect your Apple Calendar to Notion.
This update means Apple Calendar users can now enjoy similar integration benefits that were previously available only to Google Calendar users.
To set up this integration, go to Notion settings and look for the Apple Calendar connection option. Once connected, you can view and manage your Apple Calendar events right in Notion. Due to the 2-way-sync you can try out Notion Calendar with no additional effort and always go back to Apple Calendar.

Now it’s possible to see the underlying data with just one click!
That means you have now super quick access to a filtered and dropped view that shows you the actual data set. So it is much easier to find what you’re looking for and to drill deeper into the data that powers a chart.
Some useful applications of Notion Charts are covered in this video. Here’s also a template to get started!
Notion AI lets you translate entire pages with one click.
This feature is available in Notion plans that include the Notion AI add-on. It’s perfect for teams or individuals working across multiple languages. With just a few clicks, you can convert your page content into a wide range of supported languages, making collaboration and communication smoother.
At the moment, you’ll see this prompt whenever a page is in a language that is different from your workspace language.
To use this, open the page you want to translate and click at the three dots in the top-right corner. Select the “Translate” option and choose your desired language. Notion AI will process the content and provide a translated version instantly. It gives you the option to create a duplicate of the translation. Otherwise, it will change back to the original afterwards.
This feature supports languages like Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Spanish, Swedish.

You can now verify any Notion Page.
This feature was previously only available on Notion Wikis, but now you can verify all pages and database entries. This helps you keep important pages like policies, procedures, or onboarding guides up-to-date by marking them as reviewed and setting reminders for regular checks.
To do so, you only have to create the new property “Verification” in your database or click on the “Verify” button that pops up in your page header.
Notion now allows you to adjust the timeline view to span up to 5 years.
This makes it easier to plan and visualise long-term projects.
This new scope option is accessible from the dropdown menu in the timeline view.

Notion just released tabs for Database Layouts!
Plus, we also get two quality of life improvements: set pages to full-width by default, and hide labels on pinned properties for a cleaner look.
To change the layout click on “Customise layout” on a database page and select the new option “tabbed”. From here, you can add new customisable tabs just like you would create new database views.
This update is perfect for databases with many properties or links. It makes the layout simpler and easier to use.
Notion has updated its button functionality.
You can now choose to add a block not just below or above the button, but also to the top or bottom of your page.

Ask Notion AI to create databases based on your input.
You can go for general requests like “Build an employee directory database” or give detailed instructions like “Create a database with these properties and views”. The AI will guide you through adding more details and customising the setup step by step.
Some useful applications and limitations are covered in this video.
Notion Forms now lets you adjust the access level for respondents, allowing submissions to be revisited and edited.
This feature is currently limited to internal forms (not public) where anonymous submissions are disabled. Simply set “Access to submission” to “Can edit” or any other permission level you want.
Notion has made automations more flexible with the new Every {frequency} trigger.
This feature allows you to set recurring automations that repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or at many other intervals. You can also specify when the automation starts and ends, the time it triggers, and the timezone it follows.
Notion just got better error handling for database automations.
If an automation of yours fails, you’ll now receive a quick notification with an explanation of the problem.
This is a first step to help make Notion Automations more robust for company use cases.
Notion’s List View just got a refresh!
Your different properties display now much cleaner.
Rather than having half-hidden fields and cut-off checkboxes, elements are now displaying clearly and consistently.
Notion now supports passkeys, offering a more secure and convenient alternative to traditional passwords.
To set up a passkey, go to My account in your settings, select Add passkey, and choose where to store it (e.g., iCloud Keychain, Chrome Profile, or a password manager). You can add up to five passkeys for flexibility.
To log in, simply select Continue with Passkey on the login page and confirm using your biometric method.
Notion now allows you to set specific decimals wherever you have a number property in a database.
To use this feature, go to the settings of a number property in your database, select the “Number with commas” format, and define how many decimal places (0–5) you want displayed.
Note that the actual number will not be changed, so it stays true to its value for any follow-up calculations.
You can now adjust the Y-axis on vertical bar charts and the X-axis range on horizontal bar charts. Additionally, captions can be added for better context.
These updates allow you to set fixed maximums, such as capping the Y-axis at 2k to reflect monthly expense thresholds. Simply open chart settings to customise axis ranges or add captions under “More style options”.
This makes it easier to tailor charts to your needs, whether for tracking goals or presenting data without distortion.
Notion introduces Notion Faces — a fun and easy way to create your own Notion-style avatar in seconds.
Simply visit Notion Faces to design a custom self-portrait inspired by the Notion aesthetic and add your personal touch to make it uniquely yours.
So if you’re current headshot is a bit outdated or you simply want to have a fun little avatar, now’s the perfect time.
You can now enable or disable sub-items in any database view without breaking related database relations.
Just head over to the Customise Database settings and select Sub-items. From there, you can choose how sub-items are displayed on a per-view basis.
Even if you disable sub-items in one view, the database relations and setups remain unchanged in other views, giving you the flexibility to set up your Notion workspace exactly as you need.
Notion Calendar now lets you set the maximum lead time and the expiration date for scheduling links.
You can now specify the maximum number of days to limit how far in advance meetings can be scheduled with you. Additionally, you can set an expiration date for scheduling links so they are only active for a defined period.
You can now set custom URL slugs for your Notion Sites.
When publishing a Notion site, you have the option to customise the URL slug for any Notion page. Instead of the previous “page name + ID” format, you can now create something short and effective.
This feature is currently only available on paid Notion plans.

We can finally send webhooks from Notion!
Starting today, Notion Webhooks are available as an action in Notion Automations. You can either use the normal database triggers or a button to send a POST request to any URL.
This webhook includes the ID of the entry that triggered the webhook. You can also include any number of property values to be sent along.
Notion just released its latest AI connector – this time for Github.
To link your GitHub repositories, go to the Notion AI tab or click the Notion AI icon (bottom-right), open the three-dot menu, and select Connect GitHub.
AI Connectors allow Notion AI to answer your questions by also scanning documentation, pull requests, issues, discussions, or anything stored in your GitHub repositories .
Notion has changed the color picker in the app for text and background colours.
The new version is a lot more compact than the previous design-
The available options remain the same and you can still use cmd +s shift + h to quickly apply the last color chosen to text without even using the picker

Notion Database Automations get variables and access to dynamic data, which makes them A LOT more powerful than before.
This unlocks a whole new range of possibilities – here are a few examples:
- Set a project to “In Progress” when you start working on the first task
- Set all tasks to “Done” when you close a project
- Build proper native recurring tasks in Notion

Notion Forms just released which will make it easier than ever to capture information for your databases.
You can now type /form or add a new view to any existing database to launch Notion’s built-in form builder.
Forms allow you to create specific questions for every property in your database.
Then, you can share that form either internally and embed it anywhere in your workspace or make it public to collect input from externals.

You can now customise the way a database displays information on the detail pages (what you see when you click into any entry in your database).
To do so, open a page inside a database, hover over the page title and you should see the new “Customise Layout” option.
Keep in mind that you can currently only have ONE layout per database, so it’s not possible (yet) to build different templates for specific entries within the same database.
Marketplace is replacing the current template gallery and it comes with a range of features that will turn Notion into a proper… well, market place 😅
First, template creators will be able to take payments directly through Notion. For these payments, you’ll pay a flat 10% fee and you’ll receive your payouts bi-weekly via stripe (at no additional cost).
Second, if you buy a template through Marketplace, you have up to 14 days to claim a refund. But if you do so, the template will be de-activated in your workspace.
What’s more, creators can choose to lock a template, which means you won’t be able to move it between workspaces – making pirating a template much, much harder.
This is a huge change and will turn Notion Templates into even more of a proper product category.

We’re getting Notion Mail 😍
First things first here:
- Notion Mail IS NOT yet available. It’s in closed alpha but you can sign up to the waitlist here
- Notion Mail is a standalone app, similar to Notion Calendar
- It will generally be free to use (with maybe some advanced features requiring a paid Notion plan)
- You can expect it to launch publicly early 2025
For a first look, I highly recommend you check out my update video below – but I’ll try my best to give you a quick overview:
Notion Mail feels very much like Notion.
You get your familiar visuals, a sidebar and even slash commands when composing an email.
(and yes, you can use pretty much all Notion blocks to write one, so… callouts & quote blocks, anyone? 😎)
Power Users can navigate it mostly through shortcuts, you have rules and built-in AI processing and a ton of other thoughtful features that will make Notion Mail a great email app.
BUT, the most exciting thing is Notion’s approach to your inbox (and how to organise your emails).
Put simply, they’re bringing databases to your inbox 😍
That means:
- You can create properties like Assignee or Type to build workflows right in your inbox
- You can create views based on these properties and group emails together
- Just like with Notion, Notion Mail will be a big canvas that you can customise to fit exactly your workflow
But of course, it’s still early.
Many things might change before the public release, but one thing is for sure: this is a really exciting first step.
Notion always allowed you to upload custom emojis – but now you can save them for repeat use.
To add a custom emoji, open the emoji selector (from anywhere in Notion), click on the Plus icon at the bottom, and upload any image. Give it a name, and then you are ready to use it like any other emoji.
Other people in your workspace will automatically get access to these custom emojis too.
You now see a subtle design change for the Notion’s gallery and board items.
The corners are now a lot more rounded than before.
Plus, checkboxes in databases also finally got the same corner radius as other elements in your workspace.
Notion Calendar now offers an improved way to share your availability with clients and teams!
As before, you can click the Share availability button or press ‘S’ to select a time window, even across multiple days, to share with others.
With the new update, scheduling link will now respect event collisions and can be used multiple times instead of just once.
- The new Notion AI now allows you to attach PDFs and images and ask questions based on those files!
Just click the paper clip (📎) icon in the Notion AI chat, attach your PDF or image, and give your prompt. Notion AI will then generate responses using the content from the attached files.
This feature is perfect for summarising your documents, asking questions about attached PDFs, or even solving mathematical or analytical problems by simply uploading a picture.
- Notion now allows you to search and access more locations with the Cmd/Ctrl + K shortcut.
With this update, you can quickly navigate to key destinations like Home, Settings, Templates, Import, and more.
Tip: Install the Notion Desktop App and use Cmd + Shift + K anywhere to pull up the global Notion Search
Notion now lets you view all the devices where you’re currently logged in.
To check your logged-in devices, go to Settings > My Account, and under the Devices section, you’ll see a list of devices and their locations where your Notion account is active.
If you’ve forgotten to log out from a device, you can easily do so here. You also have the option to log out from all devices at once. This feature is a great addition for enhancing the security of your Notion workspace.
- Notion now displays the property icon when you’re writing a formula.
You can now set up a Notion Button to open any website on click.
To do so, simply add a new Notion Button and opt for the “Open Page or URL“ option. Then, paste any URL.
Use this new Notion Feature to further improve the UI of your Notion Workspace, for example by linking to your company website, often used resources or tools you’re referencing.

You can now click on parent items in the flattened sub-items view when using Notion’s sub-items feature.
If sub-items are enabled, go to Customised Settings > Sub-items and set Show as to Flattened list. This will display parent items next to sub-items in a subtle gray color and you can click on the parent items to open their corresponding pages.
This is especially useful if you’ve set a filter to show only sub-items. Previously, you had to open a sub-item to access its parent item, but now you can easily view and open parent items directly, making your Notion workspace more functional and user-friendly.

Notion now allows you to reference specific pages to add context for your AI prompts
Simply type ‘@’ followed by the pages you want to reference while writing your prompt. This enables Notion AI to generate responses based specifically on the content of the referenced pages.
You now have the option to create flowchart directly within a Notion page using Notion AI.
To get started, press the ‘Spacebar’ on any Notion page and select “Make a flowchart” under the Write section. Then, enter your prompt, and Notion AI will generate a simple yet effective Mermaid flowchart right in your page. Keep in mind, this feature is only available within a Notion page, not in the Notion AI chatbot tab (although you can simply write a custom prompt, asking it to create a mermaid chart).
You can now add callouts without having to pick an emoji or icon.
To do this, just click on the emoji in any callout and select Remove.
This is a great quality of life improvement to create clean and modern page layouts. Top Tip: Set a callout to the “Default Background” option and remove the icon to create a clean container with borders for your content.
Notion now lets you turn any block into a page inside a database using a selected template and automatically adds a link to that page in place of the original block.
Simply click on the six-dot menu of any block, then go to Turn into > Page in and type the template name. Select the template and the block will be turned into a page inside the database, with a link created to that page. This also works if you want to add a new page anywhere in Notion.
This is technically not a new feature, since it was possible to do this before – but it was hidden quite deep in the UI. The new implementation is a lot more user friendly and makes it easy to save pages in the right location while mentioning them in a different location.
You can now add links to your images in Notion!
To do so, just hover over an image, click on the three dots in the top right corner to open the context menu and then select the Add link option.
This is an amazing update to improve the UI in your workspace. You can now use images as navigation elements, directly link to the source of report snapshots or build even better Notion Sites!

Notion finally released native charts, which is probably one of the most anticipated updates ever.
You can now use pie charts, bar charts or line charts to visualise the data in your workspace.
To get started with charts, simply type /chart or create a new database view on an existing database and pick the new chart option in the layout menu.
Notion now allows you to add comments to any database property.
Simply hover over a database property and click the comment icon to ping your team or add a note.
Just like Notion comments within pages, this feature enables your team to share thoughts on the database items and collaborate seamlessly.
Get a sneak peek of any tab in the Notion desktop app!
Now, when you hover over a tab while using the desktop app, you’ll receive a preview the content inside it.
This simple yet cool feature will save you some extra seconds when deciding which tab to switch to.

Notion has released not one but three exciting updates to Notion Automation, making it more versatile and powerful.
Here are the key improvements to Notion database automation:
- Triggers are now more flexible — you can set database relation properties as triggers.
- For multi-select properties, you can now add, replace, remove, or toggle items as automation actions.
- You can choose whether “all” or “any” changes will trigger actions (previously, all changes had to occur to trigger automation).
The Notion Calendar is now available on Android as well.
Head over to the Playstore and download Notion Calendar for your Android smartphone. It’s also available for iPhone.
In addition to creating and managing events, the Notion Calendar offers advanced features like meeting scheduling, Notion integration, multiple Google calendars & time zones, and more!
Notion now offers an improved Asana importer to get all your Asana projects and documents to Notion.
To do so, just click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, select Import, and choose Asana. Alternatively, you can do this from Settings & Members.
With all your projects, files, and documents in one place, your team can focus on the actual work rather than switching apps to get info.
Launch Notion AI from anywhere (just like Spotlight or Alfred) and get instant answers.
With the new global shortcut (⌘ + Shift + J for Mac, Ctrl + Shift + J for Windows), you can quickly access Notion AI to retrieve any data from your Notion workspace. You’ll need the Notion desktop app installed for this to work.
And while you’re at it, don’t forget ⌘ + Shift + K for Mac, Ctrl + Shift + K for Windows to launch Notion’s global search.
Notion now features a dedicated AI page for chatting and searching within your workspace.
On the sidebar, click on Notion AI to access a ChatGPT-like AI space. It provides a full-page, distraction-free environment to interact with AI.
You can ask questions, draft documents, get coding assistance, and more. Notion AI can also find the right info from Notion and other tools Slack or Google Drive.
Miss the Google Docs’ Suggest Edit mode in Notion? You can now do it on Notion pages too.
To do so, go to the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the page and toggle on Suggest Edits. Now, you or anyone on your team can suggest changes, as well as accept or reject them.
Tracking changes and collaborating on Notion pages is now much easier. Whether you’re working on the company wiki, a document, or a project overview, the Suggest Edits feature keeps everyone on your team aligned with each other.
Using AI in Notion has never been easier. Now, you can get AI responses with Notion’s one-click AI skills without writing a single line of prompts.
From any Notion page, simply click the AI icon on the bottom-right corner and select any prompt you like. Whether you need to draft something, summarise the text, or translate a text, you can do it all with these AI skills.
Notion has reworked its Inbox to help you stay on top of all your in-app notifications.
The new Notion inbox displays all the suggested edits, comments, and mentions in easy-to-read threads.
So, no more jumping from page to page to resolve comments or review changes. You can manage everything directly in the Inbox, helping you keep track of all the activity while staying focused on the actual work.
Notion has updated the price for its Plus plan

You can now build and publish websites directly in Notion with Notion Sites!
Design your website just like you would create a Notion doc, then hit the publish button to make it live. You can customise your site, add metadata, and even connect your own domain.
This makes Notion’s already existing Share feature even more powerful.
Notion just leveled up its Home, adding recent docs, activity updates, and even your calendar events.
This makes Home even more useful as the one central place to start your Notion sessions.
Notion now features a sleek floating Table of Contents that makes navigating long pages of content super easy.
By default, it’s enabled. Just hover your mouse over the right edge of the page to reveal the Table of Contents, and click on any heading to jump straight to that section. If you prefer to disable it, head to the ••• menu in the top-right corner and toggle it off.
It may seem like a small change, but this update will make using Notion easier when you’re dealing with long content and need to find your way around quickly.
You can now quickly access Notion AI and Q&A directly from the mobile app.
When you open the app, you’ll notice a search bar at the bottom labeled “Ask AI anything.” Just tap it, and you’re ready to start chatting with Notion AI.
You can ask about anything—from projects and tasks to the company wiki, or even summarising notes and content in your workspace.
Notion now allows you to import your PDFs and Google Docs and turn them into Notion Pages.
To import, simply use the “/” command or go for the Import option from the ••• menu, then choose PDF or Google Docs. For the Google Doc, you may need to connect your Google account first.
Notion now lets you take action directly from mobile notifications.
Simply tap and hold any Notion notification to reply, archive, or mark it as read.
This handy Notion update allows you to quickly respond to notifications without opening the app — so you can stay productive even when you’re on the go.
You can now automate more of your workflows with database buttons in Notion.
Simply add a new Button property and set up the actions. With database buttons, you can trigger a series of actions for any database entry or property.
Database buttons currently have the same functionality as the in-page buttons, but they automatically select the database item they belong to. They are particularly useful to add UI elements to a team workspace.
Notion now has a Home tab to manage your tasks, projects, and notes.
In the sidebar, you’ll find a new tab called Home. It displays your recent pages, assigned tasks, and trending content across your workspace.
For the first time ever, the “My Tasks” section on home allows you to aggregate items assigned to you across several databases, which is a great feature if you can’t implement our typically recommended global database structure in your workspace.
