Notion now shows an “Expand” button on individual table cells where the text is wrapped and too long to display in full.

This button appears as a small icon when you hover over a wrapped cell, letting you open a popup to see all the content without needing to resize the column or row.

To use this feature, simply hover over a cell with truncated or wrapped text. When the “Expand” icon appears, click it to open a larger view of the cell’s content. This makes it easier to read or copy long entries directly from the table. However, once expanded, there is currently no option to “shrink” the cell back down—closing the popup just returns you to the normal table view.

This feature is especially useful for tables with lots of text, such as notes, comments, or descriptions, where you want to keep columns narrow but still need to access the full content quickly.
